Tom Angus - Creative World Director / Director of Information Systems
Tom
Angus is a ten year veteran of the game industry. Tom's career began at
Viewpoint Datalabs where he modeled and textured for various projects,
including magazine and TV advertisement and out-sourced video game projects.
Tom left Viewpoint to pursue his passion for video games and went to work
for Kodiak Interactive Games in Salt Lake City, UT. While there he focused
exclusively on real-time environments. After three years Tom left Kodiak
to became Lead Environment Artist at Microsoft Games, then went to work
for Electronic Arts as the Senior Environment artist on NASCAR 05’
Chase for the Cup. His most recent work included leading the environment
team in creating the massive city of Metropolis for EA's Superman Returns-The
Game on the XBOX 360.
Wes
Grandmont III - Senior CG Supervisor / Director
of Financial
Wes
Grandmont III has been a professional artist for over 13 years.
He earned his degree in Computer Graphics at Syracuse University
and worked in commercial post-production at Curious Pictures in
NYC on projcts for HBO, Oscar Mayer, Quaker Oats, Kraft, and Martini
& Rossi. He then moved into the game industry and spent nine years
at Electronic Arts-Tiburon, where he had key roles on every game
franchise within the studio. His recent game credits include work
as the Technical Art Director on Superman Returns: The Game
(XBOX360/PS2), Madden NFL 2005(PS2/XBOX), NFL Street(PS2),
and NASCAR Thunder 2003(PS2/XBOX). During his time at EA,
Wes pioneered new procedural modeling techniques for constructing
race tracks and the 80 square mile city of Metropolis, as well as
robust solutions for improving the lighting for the stadiums in
the Madden and NCAA Football games. More recently, Wes has been
responsible for implementing The Dreamhive's core production technologies,
including their custom real-time shading system, production tools
and hybrid real-time/software rendering pipeline. Wes has been a
guest lecturer at Bowling Green State University and the UCF-FIEA
graduate program, lectured at the 2005 Game Developer's Conference
in San Francisco and has served as an adjunct professor at the University
of Central Florida. Most recently he was an Autodesk Maya Masterclass
presenter at SIGGRAPH 2008.
Billy
Harper - Character Director / Director
of Client Affairs
Billy
has been in the entertainment industry for 8 years. His sole focus
has been CG characters. He has been involved in core character research
and development for several next generation consoles (Playstation
2, XBox 360, and Playstation 3). Thus far in his career, Billy has
worked on a major ad campaign for West Virginia University, Medical
Research Visualization, Character pipeline development and character
art for SCEA's Mark of Kri, character art for Naughty Dog's
Jak series of titles, character art for EA-Tiburon's NFL
Street, character look development for EA-Tiburon's Madden
Next Gen and Superman Returns-The Game, and was Character
Lead on Superman Returns-The Game. While working on next
gen R&D at EA-Tiburon, he was responsible for developing two major
deformation rigs. One was a helper joint/blend shape muscle deformation
rig. The other was a joint/blend shape facial rig.
Mathias
Lorenz - Creative Director
Mathias
started his career in Germany where he did almost everything imaginable
in the graphic field, from screenprinting, typesetting and photography
to magazine design, campaign-creation and web design, from freelancing
to leading his own small studio. He then relocated to Los Angeles
from Hamburg, Germany, where he worked for both Warner Brothers
Feature Animation and Walt Disney Feature Animation as Technical
Director, responsible for look development, lighting, visual effects,
background painting and compositing. He has contributed to films
such as Dinosaur, 102 dalmatians, and Scooby Doo. From film, he
moved into the world of interactive gaming, completing work as Art
Director at Electronic Arts-Tiburon on Superman Returns, the action-adventure
game associated with the Bryan Singer movie.
